Reading the blogs I subscribe to in Google Reader and came across this, at bottom, apropos the "why do genealogy" posts here, below. It's from Ancestry Insider, a really cool blog if Ancestry.com interests you. It's Part 4 of an interview with the new and outgoing CEOs of Ancestry.com.
Every day we have 100,000 indexers doing a million indexes a day. That's a strength. When it comes time to do the 1940 census, we can turn 100,000 indexers on that task. Why? Because they like doing it.
WOW!!! Yeah, so many of just like doing it!
